How members opt in

Every member of Turnt Golf who receives text messages from us has explicitly opted in by following the steps below. We do not import phone numbers from any third-party list, and we do not send messages to anyone who has not completed this flow.

The opt-in steps

  1. The group’s organizer invites a prospective member in person or by sharing a private join link with them directly. There is no public web form.
  2. The prospective member opens the join screen and enters their full name and mobile number.
  3. The prospective member ticks an unchecked checkbox that displays the verbatim consent language below, and then taps the Join button. The Join button is disabled until the checkbox is ticked.
  4. They immediately receive a one-time SMS confirming the opt-in and reminding them they can reply STOP at any time to cancel.

Verbatim consent language

The text shown next to the consent checkbox on the join screen is exactly the following:

By tapping Join, I agree to receive recurring text messages from Turnt Golf for round coordination, scoring, payouts, and group chat. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. I confirm I am an invited member of Turnt Golf.

The welcome message a new member receives

Immediately after a member taps Join with the consent box ticked, they receive this one-time SMS from our Twilio toll-free number:

“Welcome to the Turnt Golf SMS group! You will receive round announcements, scoring updates, and group chat. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”

HELP and STOP behavior

Replying STOP at any time cancels the subscription immediately; the member receives a single STOP confirmation message and no further texts. Replying HELP returns a short message with our contact email and a reminder of the STOP keyword. See the full Messaging Terms.

Your information is handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS data with third parties for marketing.
